El coche híbrido más vendido de todos los tiempos, el Toyota Prius, está en planes de expansión para ser vendido en todo el mundo, y es por ello que ahora ha desembarcado en Argentina gracias a un largo proceso de homologación.
Pero, muy por el contrario a lo que se esperaba, este coche no tendrá un precio accesible, sino que ha presentado un costo notablemente superior al que podremos encontrar en otros paises.
La compañía Toyota adjudicó 420 unidades del Toyota Prius para Latinoamérica, de las cuales solamente 50 serán vendidas en Argentina, siendo comercializadas en solo ocho de los 40 concesionarios oficiales en el país.
La única motorización disponible para este híbrido es de un motor a gasolina de 1.8 litros de cilindrada, con una potencia de 99 CV, a la que se le suma el motor eléctrico que en ciclo combinado alcanza los 136 CV.
Con este motor logra un consumo de combustible de 3.9 litros cada 100 kilómetros (logrado, entre otras funcionalidades, gracias a solamente utilizar el motor a gasolina cuando se requiere una potencia mayor) y una aceleración de 0 a 100 en 10.4 segundos.
El tan criticado precio de este coche es de 49.700 dólares, aunque ya se han solicitado al gobierno una serie de beneficios para reducir su costo.

Thats only 18 seconds difference. Pressed few seconds off, after you hear the gun start and a few more seconds off, after you cross the finish line????Bib time like that used my mizuno and gun-start time used by chipped races should be the same.
