Pero en esta ocasión, no es noticia por sus diseños extravagantes, sino porque también se suma al ahorro y consumo eficiente de combustible, al añadir a un coche de clase C una variante de motores con tecnología BlueEFFICIENCY.
Básicamente, estos nuevos motores generan un consumo inteligente del combustible (dos diésel, y uno a gasolina) sin perder potencia por ello. El primero de los motores, es el diésel C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, que presenta una cilindrada de 2.2 litros y una potencia de 170 CV, generándose un consumo de 4.8 litros cada 100 kilómetros.
El segundo motor es otro diésel, C250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, que incluye una cilindrada de 2.2 litros, desarrolla una potencia de 204 CV y consume 5.1 litros de combustible cada 100 kilómetros recorridos.
El último motor es a gasolina, C250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY, y presenta una cilindrada de 1.8 litros con potencia de 204 CV, generando un consumo de 7.2 litros cada 100 kilómetros recorridos.
