Esta subasta, además de incluir a diversos coches clásicos del Cavallino Rampante, ha incluido la subasta de un Ferrari 250TR de 1957, que se ha llevado todas las miradas y, además, 12.2 millones de dólares.
De este coche sólamente se han construido 22 unidades, siendo ésta una de las que ha sido completamente restaurada con sus colores originales de carrera y el famoso logo de la compañía.
Se esperaba de que este coche supere ampliamente las expectativas de ofertas realizadas en otras subastas, y no ha defraudado en lo más mínimo, ya que se ha alcanzado la puja de 9.020.000 euros.
Según palabras de Max Girardo, director administrativo de RM Europa: “El valor histórico de este coche ha atraido a muchos coleccionistas de todo el mundo, tanto en el salón como en el teléfono, que bregaron por llevarse el más representativo de los coches de carrera de Ferrari”
